  • Heckler & Koch pays 3.7 million euros after Mexico rulings

Heckler & Koch made a penalty payment of 3.7 million euros to the German state in May over illegal arms deliveries to Mexico. The company sold more than 4,200 G36 assault rifles to Mexico between 2006 and 2009 and falsely declared recipients in non-sensitive provinces. After the court rulings were confirmed by the BGH in 2021 and further clarifications in 2024, Heckler & Koch pursued unsuccessful legal remedies to reduce the amount and has now paid the full sum. Critics accuse the company of delay tactics and criticize the gap between its public self-presentation and its legal conduct. » More on finanzen.net
