Hindustan Unilever: profit decline and missed analyst estimates weigh on stock

Hindustan Unilever reported an unconsolidated net profit decline of 4% in Q1 of fiscal 2027 to ₹2,631 crore, missing analysts' expectations by about 5.9%. Higher raw material and operating costs, partly due to the Middle East conflict, squeezed margins; adjusted for one‑time items, profit rose 9% to ₹3,623 crore.
