H-Power starts final phase of ammonia engine project with Komatsu

H-Power has announced the completion of the first phase of its development agreement with Komatsu and is beginning the final phase to integrate its ammonia splitter into an industrial Komatsu diesel combustion engine. The second phase covers the construction and demonstration of the integrated splitter and runs from September 2026 to December 2027; the total contract value is about $2 million. H-Power supplies low-carbon hydrogen from ammonia as well as hydrogen-to-power solutions; its splitting systems have capacities of roughly 0.5 to 4 tons of H2 per day. » More on de.investing.com
Komatsu: tariffs weigh on margins despite slight revenue increase in fiscal 2025

Komatsu reported net sales of ¥4,132.8 billion for fiscal 2025 (+0.7%), while operating income fell 13.7% to ¥567.3 billion. The main reasons are higher tariff costs (estimated impact of ¥81.6 billion), production bottlenecks, an unfavorable product mix and rising fixed costs. Management keeps the annual dividend at ¥190 and expects declining sales and profits for 2026 with further margin pressure from tariffs and higher procurement costs.
