MediWound: study shows NexoBrid removes over 90% of traumatic tattoos
A prospective study at Sheba Medical Center found that MediWound’s enzymatic preparation NexoBrid reduced the pigmented wound surface by an average of 92.5% in 15 patients (96% for abrasion injuries, 84% for blast injuries). The treatment was administered at the bedside under sedation within 24 hours and showed no treatment-related adverse events in early follow-up. MediWound sold 1,734,105 ordinary shares at $17.30 per share in a registered direct placement, raising about $30 million. The transaction was led by a U.S. investment fund and other healthcare-focused investors; H.C. Wainwright & Co. served as sole placement agent.
