Melrose rises sharply after end of US criminal probe and compensation announcement
Melrose shares climbed about 8.5% to 501.2 pence after the Orange County prosecutor dropped the criminal investigation related to the chemical accident at GKN Aerospace. GKN Aerospace announced a $100 million compensation program for residents and businesses affected by the evacuation, to be administered by an independent third party. Melrose share falls after sharp pre-tax profit drop and suspension of buybacks
