Aon sells NFP wealth management to Madison Dearborn Partners for $2.7 billion

Aon has signed a definitive agreement to sell the majority of NFP’s wealth management business to Madison Dearborn Partners for an estimated $2.7 billion; the deal is expected to close in late fourth quarter 2025. The transaction includes Wealthspire Advisors, Fiducient Advisors and Newport Private Wealth and is expected to generate about $2.2 billion in after‑tax cash proceeds for Aon, with buyer leadership to be assumed by Michael LaMena and Carl Nelson. UBS advised Aon and Goldman Sachs advised Madison Dearborn Partners.
