Orion stock climbs to record high after positive Nubeqa data and analyst upgrade

Orion jumped after a data update on darolutamide (Nubeqa) at ESMO, because the drug clearly reduced the risk of metastasis or death in prostate cancer patients. Barclays sees the data as a tailwind for use in earlier stages, and Jefferies upgraded Orion from hold to buy and raised the price target significantly. Orion raises forecast for 2026 after stronger licensing revenues

Orion raises its revenue and EBIT forecast for 2026 and now expects net sales of €2.07–2.14 billion and an operating result of €730–790 million. The reason is higher-than-expected licensing revenues in the first nine months, mainly due to the success of Nubeqa, which is licensed to Bayer. Orion rises to new record high thanks to Nubeqa growth

Orion is benefiting significantly from strong sales of the prostate cancer drug Nubeqa, which is licensed to Bayer and generates milestone payments as well as revenue shares. In the second quarter, revenue rose by about 25%, operating profit by around 69%, and the margin increased by 8.8 percentage points. The stock exceeded €85 for the first time; the third-quarter figures will be published on October 28.
