Piedmont repurchases 2028 senior notes totaling $244.6m

Piedmont Operating Partnership accepted buybacks of 2028 senior notes (coupon 9.25%) with a face value of $244.6m, representing about 46% of the outstanding amount. The offer paid $1,114.09 per $1,000 face value plus accrued interest; a further $3.8m was submitted in the guaranteed tender procedure. The action comes against total debt of $2.19bn and a leverage ratio of 1.43; the company also priced new 2033 notes for $400m (coupon 5.625%).
