Roche: breast cancer therapy Giredestrant misses primary endpoint in study
Roche reports that Giredestrant in combination with Ibrance failed to meet the primary endpoint of a statistically significant improvement in progression-free survival in patients with advanced breast cancer. This was the first of two late-stage studies in the first-line setting; results from the second study are expected next year. Chief Medical Officer Levi Garraway still sees opportunities for Giredestrant in combination with other drugs, for example in the adjuvant setting. » More on finanzen.net
JPMorgan keeps Roche at neutral and target price of 350 francs after petrelintide data
JPMorgan confirms its rating for Roche at "Neutral" with a target of 350 francs. Analyst Richard Vosser notes that Phase II data from partner Zealand Pharma for the weight-loss drug Petrelintide showed somewhat smaller weight reductions, but a Phase III study could still see mid-double-digit reductions if more responsive female participants are included. Vosser therefore expects only a small share-price decline for Roche. » More on finanzen.net
Roche: petrelintide achieves up to 10.7% weight loss in phase II study
Roche reports positive phase II results for the obesity drug petrelintide: participants lost on average up to 10.7% of their weight after 28 weeks versus 1.7% with placebo. The drug showed a favorable tolerability profile and a discontinuation rate due to adverse events of 4.8% in the highest-dose arm, comparable to placebo. Roche plans to present final data at a medical congress and proceed to phase III trials; topline results from the second phase II study (obesity with type 2 diabetes) are expected in H2 2026, and a combination study is set to start in 2026. » More on de.investing.com
