On 21 August 2026 Rocket Lab launched the Electron mission “The Lightning God Defends” and placed a QPS-SAR earth observation satellite for the Institute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space (iQPS) into a 575 km orbit. It was the 93rd Electron mission and the 14th launch of the year; according to the company it has now placed nine satellites for iQPS and maintains a 100 percent success rate.
