Sabre appoints Niklas Andréen as chief commercial officer for airline technology
Sabre has appointed Niklas Andréen as chief commercial officer for its airline-technology division. Andréen will take charge of global sales, account management, business strategy, business development and customer support and is expected to boost adoption of the modernized Sabre Mosaic platform as well as commercial performance. Sabre introduces one-year shareholder rights plan after Constellation builds stake
Sabre adopted a shareholder rights plan effective immediately for a one-year term after Constellation Software built an economic stake of 9.7% between April and November 2025. The stock then rose by about 32.6%. Sabre says the plan is not a response to a specific takeover offer but is intended to ensure fair treatment of shareholders and to make hostile control acquisitions more difficult; talks with Constellation were recently halted. Sabre reduces debt by more than $1 billion and bets on agent-based AI for growth
Sabre reported Q4 2025 revenue of $667 million, a normalized adjusted EBITDA increase of 10% and cash on hand of $910 million. The company repaid more than $1 billion of debt during the year, extended the maturity profile (more than 90% due in 2029 or later) and reduced pro forma net leverage by about 25%. Operationally, sales and passenger numbers rose moderately, NDC integrations expanded to 42, and agent-based AI partnerships were expanded with firms such as BizTrip AI, PayPal and Virgin Australia. For 2026 Sabre expects pro forma adjusted EBITDA of around $585 million, mid-single-digit revenue and volume growth rates, and free cash flow of around -$70 million (including ~ $60 million of restructuring costs). » More on de.investing.com
