SAIHEAT and Canopy Wave have agreed to merge, valuing Canopy Wave at $60 million and SAIHEAT at $40 million pre‑money. Upon closing, Canopy Wave will be a 100% subsidiary of SAIHEAT and the combined company is expected to be listed on NASDAQ as Canopy Wave Holdings Inc., likely trading under the ticker CWAV. SAIHEAT shares climbed 10.4% after the company was granted a patent for a “system and method for waste heat recovery.” The patent describes a system architecture with valve control for precise distribution of heat between the usage and cooling sides and targets efficient recovery of waste heat from server and chip cooling. SAIHEAT stresses that the technology is intended to reduce energy waste and CO2 emissions and has increased its R&D investment and built a specialized team.
