Scancell raises £13.0m in oversubscribed placing
Scancell placed 144,444,444 shares to raise £13.0m after the originally targeted c.£9.0m was increased due to strong oversubscription. The new shares represent about 13.9% of existing ordinary shares; allocations were scaled back. Panmure Liberum acted as sole placing agent and WG Partners as joint broker. Scancell launches private placing of up to £2.3m
Scancell is offering private investors retail access via Winterflood for up to £2.3m and plans to issue up to around 25m new ordinary shares at 9p each, a discount of about 29.4% to the mid closing price. The offer runs until Thursday at 16:30, with a minimum subscription of £250; results are expected on Sunday morning. A separate placing to raise about $12m is running in parallel; both measures are intended to extend the company’s financial runway into the second quarter of 2027. Scancell holds annual general meeting on 30 October in London
