Schneider Electric Infrastructure misses Q1 forecasts; stock plunges

Schneider Electric Infrastructure reported Q1 of fiscal 2027 earnings per share of $2.50 and revenue of $8.4 billion, both below Wall Street estimates, causing the stock to fall about 11%. Margin pressure from commodity inflation, supply-chain problems, older fixed-price contracts and currency headwinds weighed on profitability, although order intake of 915 crore INR hit a record and the order backlog of more than 2,100 crore INR rose 33%.
