Significantly higher input costs, particularly freight, hurt results, although paper demand stayed strong and EMEA and APAC grew above average. Smurfit Westrock has designed several paper-based packaging solutions for Coca-Cola China’s 2026 World Cup campaign, including an octagonal gift pack for eight cans, an octagonal pack for seven mini cans, a carrier-bag–style solution and an e‑commerce format. The designs were created after a workshop with Coca-Cola’s sales team and are intended for retail and online distribution to stand out on shelf and provide space for a World Cup souvenir.
