  • Teva Pharm offers $57.5 million as stalking horse for BioXcel drug

Teva Pharm submitted a stalking-horse bid of $57.5 million for certain BioXcel assets, including a sublingual dexmedetomidine film under FDA review for at-home treatment of agitation in schizophrenia and bipolar disorders. In addition, up to $67.5 million in contingent payments have been agreed, tied to approval dates and revenue milestones. The FDA set November 14, 2026, as its target decision date; the award is subject to court approval, higher bids and customary closing conditions. » More on de.investing.com

  • Teva Pharm receives FDA acceptance for Tourette medication Ecopipam

The FDA has accepted the marketing application (NDA) for Ecopipam, a first‑in‑class D1 dopamine receptor antagonist for the treatment of Tourette syndrome in children and adolescents, and set the decision date for the end of Q1 2027. Ecopipam has orphan‑drug status and, if approved, would be the first new pediatric treatment option for Tourette in more than ten years. The decision is based on positive Phase‑2b and Phase‑3 data: a significant reduction in tic severity and, in the Phase‑3 withdrawal study, a 53% lower relapse risk versus placebo. Studies showed no clinically relevant changes in weight, vital signs, or ECG; common adverse events included headache, insomnia, fatigue, somnolence, tics, anxiety, nausea, and restlessness. » More on de.investing.com

  • Moody's raises Teva Pharm rating to investment grade

Moody's has raised Teva Pharm's issuer rating from Ba1 to Baa3 and changed the outlook from "positive" to "stable." The agency cites rising branded drug sales, a growing product pipeline and ongoing debt reduction through earnings growth and repayments as reasons for the upgrade. Moody's expects further reduction in gross leverage within 12–18 months (target: below 3.75x by Moody's methodology), forecasts about $2bn of free cash flow and reports roughly $3.7bn in liquidity plus an undrawn $1.8bn revolver; a sustained leverage level below 3.25x could allow further upgrades. » More on de.investing.com
