Bank of America sees upside for TIM in Fistel tax dispute
Bank of America rates Brazilian telecom stocks as promising as the Supreme Court hears arguments on the Fistel tax from May 8 to 15. In an optimistic scenario TIM would achieve an implicit NPV upside of around 8%; in the base case the bank assumes full settlement of past debts and only 50% reinstatement of future levies. Tim S.A. updates 2026 outlook: revenue and EBITDA growth expected
Tim S.A. has revised its 2026 strategy plan and forecasts service revenue growth of around 5% and EBITDA growth of 6–8% year over year. The company plans nominal capex of R$4.4–4.6bn (excluding any potential new spectrum allocations) and expects operational cash flow to increase by 11–14%. Tim S.A. cancels 28.7 million of its own shares
The management board of Tim S.A. has decided to cancel 28,678,509 previously repurchased treasury shares. The share capital will not be reduced as a result; the number of ordinary shares will thereafter be 2,392,125,889. Article 5 of the articles of association is to be adjusted to the new share number at the next annual general meeting.
