Trillion Energy to rename itself Dune Oil Corp. effective Aug. 4
Trillion Energy will change its name to Dune Oil Corp. effective Aug. 4 and will receive the new trading symbol DUNE on the Canadian Securities Exchange, along with new CUSIP and ISIN numbers. Existing shareholders do not need to take any action; there will be no share consolidation and old certificates remain valid. The company completed an additional tranche of a private placement (1,030,000 units at CAD 0.15 each plus 1,120,569 units issued to settle liabilities); proceeds are intended to fund the work program for the M47 concession, audits, investor relations and general working capital. Trillion Energy says its M47 oil block in southeastern Türkiye benefits from proximity to multiple producing fields operated by TPAO, reducing exploration uncertainty. The company and partners drilled two wells in 2025 and encountered oil in the same carbonate Cretaceous reservoirs as nearby fields. Trillion Energy raises CAD 1.5m in private placement and settles liabilities
Trillion Energy completed a tranche of a private placement totalling CAD 1,501,900 and used it to settle outstanding liabilities of CAD 1,073,963. A total of 17,172,419 units were issued, of which 10,012,668 were for cash and 7,159,751 were issued to settle debt; each unit consists of one common share and one-half warrant (a full warrant exercisable within one year at CAD 0.25). The proceeds will be used, among other things, to fund the work program for the M47 concession, audit fees, investor relations and working capital; the company also applied to increase the offering size to up to CAD 3.5m.
