Veolia has extended its partnership with Octave Intelligence by five years and is expanding deployment of the Octave Attune EAM software globally to more than 10,000 users in water, waste and energy. The SaaS solution is provided via the AWS Marketplace and is intended to improve field service, maintenance planning and asset performance management by integrating condition data and regulatory requirements. Veolia reports Q1 2026 EPS of 0.53 EUR and revenue of 11.4 billion EUR, both slightly below market expectations. Organic revenue grew 2.1%, EBITDA rose organically by 5.1% and the EBITDA margin improved by 73 basis points. Net financial debt stood at 20.8 billion EUR; net free cash flow improved by 144 million EUR. In several federal states (Berlin, Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, Saxony, Thuringia), Verdi has begun a one-day warning strike at Veolia. The union is demanding €300 more per month, experience-based pay levels, and hardship and dirt allowances with a contract term of twelve months; Veolia offered an increase of €0.45 per hour. Veolia describes Verdi’s account as misleading but stresses its willingness to talk and points to wages that are contractually above the minimum wage.
