WashTec reports record sales for Q2 2026, margins remain under pressure

WashTec posted record revenues in the second quarter and first half of 2026 (Q2: €137m; H1: €248m), but EBIT stagnated at €17.7m in H1 and the EBIT margin fell from 7.6% to 7.1%. SmartCare Connect accounted for 54% of portal car wash system sales in Q2, and demand in North America grew significantly. Short-term profitability is weighed down by one‑off costs, product mix and investments, but management reaffirmed the annual guidance and expects efficiency measures to take effect in the second half of the year.
