WuXi AppTec recovers after US sanctions list thanks to analyst praise and share buyback

WuXi AppTec’s H-share rose 3.3% to HK$120.6 after having fallen sharply earlier following inclusion on the US-1260H list. JPMorgan confirmed an “Overweight” rating with a HK$172 target and criticized the Pentagon designation as flawed. WuXi announced a board-approved buyback program for A-shares to fund an employee equity scheme and said it will pursue legal action against the listing.
