China Yuchai reported H1 2026 revenue up 30.9% to RMB 14.7 billion and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 560.6 million (+53.2%). The company raised its 2026 sales target for engines for AI data centers from 2,600 to about 3,500 units and expects to fully utilize its capacity for high-performance engines (around 5,000 units) this year. Gross margin and operating margin improved thanks to larger engines, a better product mix and cost control; cash and cash equivalents stood at RMB 8.1 billion with reduced borrowings. China Yuchai’s shares fell about 6.2% on Wednesday after a short report by J Capital that questions the sustainability of the company’s strong growth. Yuchai has revealed an internal combustion engine for heavy commercial vehicles that runs exclusively on ammonia using high-pressure direct injection and employs a high-pressure hydrogen generation system plus pre-chamber ignition. The company says the engine achieves thermal efficiencies comparable to heavy diesel engines. After the announcement the stock rose 17% last week to USD 51.02; for 2025 Yuchai reported sales of 461,309 engines and revenue of 24.6 billion RMB.
