Eutelsat announced a multi-year extension of its cooperation with StarTV (Grupo W Com), under which StarTV will use additional capacity on the EUTELSAT 117 West B satellite to offer direct-to-home TV, educational content and near-video-on-demand via IP across Mexico. The agreement secures the 117° West orbital position for video transmissions in Mexico and Latin America and is intended to improve access to content in remote areas and reduce customer churn.
