Western Sydney International awards 10-year retail contract to Lagardère AWPL
Western Sydney International Airport has awarded a 10-year retail concession to Lagardère AWPL to operate 11 stores across international and domestic precincts, covering about 33,400 sq ft. Approximately 60% of the space will be duty‑free, with the remainder for travel essentials and specialty retail featuring a ‘best of the west’ concept and First Nations cultural elements. Retail fitouts will begin in the coming months ahead of the airport’s first passenger flights in October and the maiden international departure to Singapore on November 23. The airport plans further development as part of a broader master plan through 2045, including an airport city and expanded 24/7 commercial offerings. » Más en forbes.com
