Moody’s has raised XPO’s corporate family rating from Ba2 to Ba1 and changed the outlook from “positive” to “stable,” citing sustained margin expansion, stronger earnings and improved credit metrics. Senior secured bank facilities and notes were upgraded to Baa3, unsecured notes to Ba2, and the liquidity rating to SGL-1. XPO reported roughly 10% revenue growth in the first half of 2026, a reduction in adjusted leverage to about 2.8x, and Moody’s sees further debt‑reduction potential (2.6x in 2026, ~2.2x in 2027). XPO has appointed Jonas Svedlund as general counsel effective immediately. He will head legal and compliance, including corporate governance and commercial legal matters. XPO reported adjusted diluted earnings per share of $1.70 for the second quarter versus $1.05 a year earlier, beating consensus estimates by $0.23. Adjusted EBITDA before real estate gains rose 25%, and adjusted diluted EPS increased 56% year over year. The North American LTL segment improved its adjusted operating ratio by 300 basis points to 79.9%, and company revenue was $2.35 billion, up 13% from the prior year; LTL revenue rose 15% to $1.43 billion.
