Beforepay reports strong profit jump and revenue growth in Q1 2025

Beforepay recorded a net profit of $3.4m in the first quarter of 2025 (+98% y/y) on revenue of $11.3m (+20% y/y). The company cut operating costs by 12% and reported a low net default rate of 0.67%; liquidity remained at $19.2m. Beforepay reports a record pre-tax net profit of $2.4m in Q4 2025 (+76% year-on-year) and active user growth of 12% to 270,000. Net transaction margin rose 48% to $7.7m, with operating costs of $5m; cash position is $19.2m and equity stands at $40.3m. Airwallex acquires OpenPay and strengthens billing offering

Airwallex has acquired payments software platform OpenPay to expand its billing business and offer automated billing features and revenue analytics. The entire ten-person OpenPay team from San Francisco will join Airwallex; financial terms were not disclosed.
