AIRO completes delivery of RQ-35 Heidrun to global defense customer
AIRO completed delivery in Q2 2026 of a large order for the fixed‑wing unmanned aerial system RQ-35 Heidrun to a global defense customer. The drone offers up to three hours of flight time, a range of 50 km, onboard AI for detection/identification and navigation support resistant to electronic warfare. AIRO manufactures sensors, autonomy systems and airframes in‑house and highlights the benefits of vertical integration for quality, cost and delivery times. The company did not disclose the customer, order value or quantity; the stock has recently fallen sharply while the balance sheet shows more cash than debt. » Plus sur de.investing.com
US Department of Defense certifies RQ-35 drone from AIRO Group as "Blue UAS"
The Defense Contract Management Agency has granted AIRO Group’s RQ-35 Heidrun "Blue UAS" status, meaning the system meets the US Department of Defense’s security, supply-chain and performance requirements. The certification makes the drone eligible for purchases under the NDAA and gives AIRO access to procurement channels of the Department of Defense and other federal agencies. The hand-launched RQ-35 offers 2.5 hours of flight time, has already been used in Ukraine; AIRO recently opened a production facility in Phoenix but remains operationally unprofitable despite $88 million in revenue and a 57% gross margin, trading near its 52-week low. » Plus sur de.investing.com
AIRO Group delivers first RQ-35 Heidrun with in-house Zentra camera
AIRO Group completed delivery in the second quarter of an unmanned RQ-35 Heidrun equipped with the Zentra camera system from Sky-Watch, deployed operationally for the first time. The Zentra Suite combines electro-optical and infrared sensors, thermal imaging and long-range identification, AI-supported analytics, 4K video and still recording, a 360-degree panoramic camera, a stepless 50x zoom and navigation support in GNSS-restricted environments. CEO Joe Burns says that having its own imaging technology improves mission capabilities and control for customers. AIRO has a market capitalization of USD 208 million; the stock fell 69% last year. Analyst data from InvestingPro, however, regard the stock as undervalued and highlight high gross margins (57%) and more cash than debt. » Plus sur de.investing.com
