AMC Global Media misses Q1-2026 EPS by wide margin, revenue slightly above expectations

AMC Global Media reported Q1 2026 EPS of $0.08 versus $0.23 expected (variance -65%), while revenue of $542.13 million narrowly beat forecasts. Patrick O’Connell’s resignation as chief financial officer of AMC Networks took effect on Monday; the company clarified the move was not due to disagreements over business practices. Chief Accounting Officer Michael J. Sherin III will assume the duties of the chief financial officer on an interim basis. AMC Networks also successfully completed a bond exchange offer: about 95% of the 10.25% notes maturing in 2029, with a face value of roughly $830.6 million, were exchanged for 10.50% notes due 2032, and 99.8% of creditors approved amendments that, among other things, allow share repurchases of up to $50 million; the remaining 2029 notes will be repaid on April 6, 2026 at 105.125%.
