Scotiabank lowered its price target on América Móvil to $20.80 from $21.80 and maintained a Sector Perform rating, citing a reduced global risk premium and updated targets for LatAm telecoms. América Móvil Q1 2026: operating leverage drives net income up 25% despite EPS miss

América Móvil reported Q1 2026 revenue up to USD 236.84 billion and net income growth of 25.1% to MXN 23.4 billion, driven by stronger postpaid and broadband subscriber gains. EBITDA grew faster than service revenues, reaching a margin of around 40%, while EPS of USD 0.3378 missed expectations. The company improved its leverage ratio, generated positive free cash flow and used it for buybacks and dividends; currency effects, in particular a strong peso, however dampened reported profitability. América Móvil raises profit and plans takeover of Desktop in Brazil

América Móvil reported a 25.1% rise in net profit to 23.4 billion pesos in Q1 2026 on group revenue of 236.8 billion pesos (+2.1%). EBITDA increased 3.8% to 94.5 billion pesos (EBITDA margin 39.9%) and operating income rose 12.7% to 50.5 billion pesos. The company added a net 3.1 million mobile contract customers, including 1.3 million in Brazil, and reported 594,000 new broadband connections.
