Baker Hughes posts record orders but warns of lower 2026 oil and gas spending
Baker Hughes beat Q2 EPS estimates and reported record orders of $10.5 billion and a backlog of $40.1 billion, driven by a $7.1 billion IET segment. The company raised full-year order guidance under its Horizon 2 plan to over $45 billion and reported sharply higher operating and free cash flow. Management warned annual global oil and gas producer spending will decline modestly in 2026, citing weaker activity in Europe and the Middle East and fallout from U.S.–Iran tensions. Baker Hughes said the IET segment could see a 1–2% revenue hit and flagged higher logistics and inflationary costs, even as it pushes growth into LNG, power grids and data centers. » Plus sur finance.yahoo.com
