Canaan has authorized the sale of part of its digital assets to finance buybacks of American Depositary Shares under the program approved in December 2025. The company holds about $130 million in digital assets and considers the stock to be trading below the combined value of those holdings and its cash. Future buybacks will depend on the ADS trading price, market conditions, working capital needs and board approvals.
