CD Projekt Red adds cross-platform mods and Edgerunners content to Cyberpunk 2077 with 2.5 update

CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.5 introduces cross-platform mod support via mod.io for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, plus Edgerunners-themed content including a side quest, a Weak Kingsley gear set and a new radio station. The patch also adds the Double Trouble dual-wield perk, a Richard Night-guided city tour, grouped saves, DLSS 4.5 and glasses-free 3D effects, and a console FOV slider. CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 to be adapted into a Paramount live-action film

Paramount is developing a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 film based on CD Projekt Red’s franchise, with producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura attached and no release date announced. The announcement follows the game’s commercial success—over 40 million copies sold—and existing franchise expansions, including a Netflix anime and a sequel in development. CD Projekt Red records strong H1 growth, stock retreats slightly

CD Projekt Red reported H1 2026 revenue up 23% to 435 million PLN and net profit up 37% to 249 million PLN; net margin was 57%. License income rose to 95 million PLN, development expenses were 385 million PLN, cash amounted to 1.29 billion PLN and equity exceeds 3.5 billion PLN. The company plans three major releases for 2026–2028 (remaster of The Witcher 3, Songs of the Past, The Witcher 4) but sees risks from rising development costs and dependence on a few franchises.
