Comstock changes auditors: Sadler Gibb replaces Assure CPA after asset acquisition
Comstock says Sadler, Gibb & Associates will assume the audit engagements of Assure CPA following the acquisition of substantial assets. Assure CPA ceased operations on June 3, 2026 and resigned the engagement; the audit team, including the lead partner, moved to Sadler Gibb. The board of directors and the audit and finance committee appointed Sadler Gibb on June 5, 2026 as the new independent auditor; prior audit reports contained no qualifications and there were no disagreements. The change is disclosed in a Form 8-K filed with the SEC. » Plus sur de.investing.com
Comstock reports weak Q1 due to weather, announces $16 billion gas deal for Texas power plant
Comstock experienced weather-related production outages in Q1 2026 and reported adjusted earnings of $0.15 per share, well below expectations, while revenue surprisingly rose thanks to higher gas prices. The company was selected as the natural-gas supplier for a 5.2‑GW power plant in Texas; the contract is valued at $16 billion and could include deliveries of up to nearly 1 Bcf/day through 2031. The stock fell more than 13% toward its 52-week low, but management expects production to recover in Q2 and confirmed 2026 capex of $1.4–1.5 billion. » Plus sur de.investing.com
Comstock appoints three independent members to the board of directors
Comstock has, with immediate effect, appointed Donald A. Colvin, Steven Y. Pei and Robert M. Spence to the board of directors; the appointments followed talks with major shareholders MAK Kapital Fund LP and Gratia Kapital. Colvin is to join the audit and finance committee, Spence will chair the audit and compensation committee, and Pei brings private equity experience. Walter "Del" Marting Jr. will remain non-executive chairman until the 2027 annual general meeting, after which Kristin Slanina is expected to take the role; Marting and William J. Nance will not stand for re-election in 2027. Comstock, which specializes in solar module recycling, has a market capitalization of USD 198.77 million and—according to analysis—has more cash than debt; the stock rose to USD 2.80 after the announcement (though weekly and annual losses remain significant). » Plus sur de.investing.com
