Genus reports strong profit and cash flow growth, stock falls pre-market

Genus shares fell 6.5% after preliminary results for 2026 showed adjusted revenue down 2% to £658.1m, missing consensus. The decline in revenue was mainly due to the deconsolidation of PIC China following the formation of a joint venture with Beijing Capital Agribusiness. Genus forecasts an adjusted pre-tax profit of around £98m for fiscal 2026, beating consensus estimates.
