S&P raises Georgia Capital's credit rating to BB with stable outlook

S&P Global Ratings has raised Georgia Capital's credit rating from BB- to BB and set the outlook to stable. S&P cited balanced fiscal policy, ongoing debt reduction and sustainable shareholder returns as reasons for the decision. The rating matches Georgia's sovereign rating and applies to JSC Georgia Capital's foreign- and local-currency obligations. Georgia Capital sells residential development business m2 to local investors

Georgia Capital is selling the residential development business m2 to local investors in line with its capital-light strategy. The sale has a slightly positive effect on NAV as of 31 March 2026 and allows the target liquidity buffer to be reduced to USD 25m. Georgia Capital: portfolio-EBITDA rises 27% in Q1 2026 and NAV up 9.2% year-to-date

Georgia Capital reports aggregated EBITDA of its major private portfolio companies of 73 million GEL for Q1 2026, an increase of 26.9% year-on-year, with revenue up 13.7%. NAV per share remained largely stable in the quarter at 154.82 GEL, but due to a strong share price rise in Lion Finance Group up to 27 April 2026, NAV in GEL has increased 9.2% since the start of the year. The pharmacy business reinforced its market leadership with 244 million GEL in revenue, higher gross margin and an EBITDA margin of 11.9%; the holding shows a strong liquidity position and low net debt. Georgia Capital has so far deployed around 550 million GEL of the ongoing 700 million-GEL capital return program, expects dividend inflows of over 200 million GEL for 2026 and maintains a positive outlook. » Plus sur de.investing.com
