GigaMedia extends Aeolus convertible bond until May 31, 2026

GigaMedia has extended the maturity of the convertible bond of Aeolus Robotics Corporation that it holds, valued at USD 7 million, to May 31, 2026. The outstanding principal bears interest at 4% p.a. and can be converted at maturity or upon certain events into shares at the lower of USD 1.25 or 80% of the applicable issue price. GigaMedia has appointed Ying‑Chih Liao (Kevin Liao) with immediate effect as a non-independent non-executive director. Liao has a legal education (National Taiwan University, Harvard) and experience in corporate finance and strategy roles at Chailease. GigaMedia invests 1.5 million US dollars in Aeolus Robotics and pursues diversification

GigaMedia has acquired a convertible bond worth 1.5 million US dollars from Aeolus Robotics to strengthen a strategic partnership and diversify its investment portfolio beyond its core business. The bond has a 36-month term with 4.5% interest and can be converted into Aeolus shares.
