Glanbia raises 2026 forecast after strong first half

Glanbia reported a strong first half with adjusted earnings per share of €0.8124 (+30% currency-adjusted) and revenue of €2.1bn (+7% currency-adjusted). Group EBITDA rose 14.1% currency-adjusted to €275.4m and the EBITDA margin improved to 13.2%. Glanbia cuts Tirlán representation and reduces board size

The Tirlán Co-operative Society is reducing its representation on the Glanbia board from two directors to one. John Murphy and Bill Carroll will resign on 4 August 2026; Ger O’Brien will be appointed on 5 August 2026 as a Tirlán‑nominated non‑executive director. After the changes, the board will consist of ten directors (two executive, the chair and seven non‑executive, one of whom is from Tirlán). Tirlán sells 12 million Glanbia shares for €257.6 million

The Tirlán Co-operative Society has completed the sale of 12,000,000 ordinary shares in Glanbia for a total of around €257.6 million. 9,671,170 shares were sold to institutional investors via an accelerated bookbuild, and 2,328,830 shares were sold off‑market to Glanbia as part of an approved targeted buyback; the price for both transactions was €21.47 per share. After settlement (expected around 16 June 2026) and the cancellation of the shares acquired by the company, Tirlán will remain the largest shareholder with 31,548,762 ordinary shares; the cancellation will reduce issued ordinary shares to an expected 239,613,665 and will use €50 million of the ongoing €100 million buyback program. » Plus sur de.investing.com
