Grenke: stock falls to multi-year low despite improved results and growth prospects

The Grenke stock is trading at a new multi-year low, even though the company sees opportunities for higher growth and profit momentum. In H1 2026, new business rose only moderately by 1.4% to EUR 1.64 billion; the loss ratio was 2%, while earnings improved by 24% to EUR 32.6 million. For 2026, Grenke is targeting an annual profit of EUR 74–86 million and new business at the lower end of the target range (EUR 3.4–3.6 billion); medium-term return on equity is to rise to around 10% by 2030. Grenke boosts group profit in first half of 2026 by 24% thanks to better cost control

Grenke reported a group profit of €32.6m for H1 2026 (up 24.4%) and an operating result of €353m (up 11%). Operating expenses rose by only 1.5%, bringing the cost-income ratio down to 51.6%. New leasing business grew to €1.6bn, the US business doubled, and total assets stood at €9.2bn.
