Jacobs awarded contract for $750 million water project in Utah

Jacobs was hired by the Central Utah Water Conservancy District to provide design and construction support services for the Strawberry High Line Improvement Project. The project, with an estimated construction value of $750 million, calls for converting the open Strawberry High Line Canal into a buried pressurized water system and constructing new pipelines, a pump station and associated infrastructure. Jacobs is working in a joint venture with Bowen Collins & Associates; the system is intended to secure water supply for a future population of about 420,000 people. Jacobs Engineering beats Q3 expectations, stock falls after hours

Jacobs reported adjusted EPS of $1.84 for Q3 (expectation $1.83) and revenue of $4.1bn, well above estimates.
