MARA Holdings has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Long Ridge Energy & Power LLC from FTAI Infrastructure for roughly $1.5 billion including debt. The deal includes a 505‑MW gas-and-steam combined‑cycle plant and more than 1,600 acres for a digital infrastructure campus with potential total capacity of over 1 GW. The acquisition would increase MARA’s own generation capacity by about 65% and is expected to add roughly $144 million of annualized adjusted EBITDA (based on H2 2025); closing is expected in H2 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. MARA sold 15,133 Bitcoin between March 4 and 25, raising roughly $1.1 billion. With the proceeds, the company repurchased convertible bonds with a face value of $1 billion for $913 million, a discount of nearly 9 percent and a saving of about $88 million. The buybacks cut convertible debt by around 30 percent to about $2.3 billion; 38,689 Bitcoin remain on the balance sheet.
