Metro Mining presents growth, low costs and buyback plans
At the Noosa Mining Conference Metro Mining outlined a scalable business model with strong production growth: from ~2 million tonnes in 2021 to 6.2 million tonnes recently, targeting 6.6–7.1 million tonnes for 2026 and more than 7 million tonnes in H2. Plant costs are around A$30/tonne, adjusted EBITDA has nearly doubled, and cash on hand was recently roughly equal to debt; senior liabilities are expected to fall to ~A$20 million by year-end. About 80% of freight costs are hedged for 2024–2026, and US$75 million was hedged at A$0.65; key risks remain logistics and freight costs from Guinea. Metro Mining plans distributions of up to 20% of free cash flow, a potential 5% share buyback and further exploration to expand resources. » Plus sur de.investing.com
