Omai Gold Mines: Omai project in Guyana developing into about 8 million‑ounce gold resource

Omai Gold Mines presented the Omai project in Guyana at an investor conference with a total of about 8 million ounces (2.5 million indicated, 5.5 million inferred) in the Wenot and Gilt Creek deposits. A preliminary economic assessment (PEA) is expected in early August and is planned to cover an open pit at Wenot and underground mining at Gilt Creek, with planned processing capacity of 20,000–25,000 t/day. The company has about CAD 33 million in cash, is carrying out a 50,000‑metre drilling program with five rigs, and reports higher grades in deeper zones.
