PRISA beats forecasts for 2024: EBITDA margin rises, debt ratio at 19‑year low

PRISA reported EBITDA of €185m and an EBITDA margin of 20.1% for fiscal year 2024, exceeding guidance. Free cash flow was €63m; net debt fell by €82m to €750m, and the net debt/EBITDA ratio dropped to 3.97x (its lowest level since 2005). Digital growth was a major contributor: Santillana reached 3m subscriptions (+5%) and EL PAÍS 392,000 subscribers (+17%). Prisa reported a currency-adjusted revenue increase of 6% to €412 million and a 15% rise in digital subscriptions in the second quarter of 2025. Despite a challenging advertising market, the company managed to refinance its debt and improve free cash flow by 31%.
