The U.S. Department of Defense awarded three delivery orders to Raytheon totaling up to $42,482,605 for spare parts for the F/A-18 fleet. The awards are part of five-year contract N00383-23-G-SV01 and include a fixed-price contract of $17,214,276 (two-year period) and two additional orders of $15,072,015 and $10,196,314, each with performance periods of 1 year and 9 months. Raytheon received two U.S. military contracts totaling $1.3 billion: a $745.4 million award to produce Standard Missile‑3 Block IIA missiles, partly for the U.S. government and partly as an arms export to Japan, with work in Tucson and Huntsville through February 2031; and an increase of $536 million to an existing contract for serial production and technical services for the TOW weapon system, bringing its total purchase value to $750.8 million. Raytheon has delivered and installed the first SPY-6(V)4 radar array at the Surface Combat Systems Center in Wallops Island to conduct ground and interface tests ahead of installation on USS Pinckney (DDG 91). The tests begin later this year and are scheduled to run through mid-2028; DDG 91 is slated for the retrofit between late 2026 and 2028. The SPY-6(V)4 is designed for Flight IIA destroyers; SPY-6 variants are already installed or in testing on several ships, with deployment planned on more than 50 ships over the next ten years.
