Skyworks Solutions cuts quarterly dividend, plans $2 billion debt raise for Qorvo deal
Skyworks Solutions fell about 11% in premarket trading after the company completely cut its quarterly dividend and said it will take on roughly $2 billion in new debt to finance the planned merger with Qorvo. Q3 results beat operational expectations (adjusted EPS $1.08, revenue $935 million) but were weighed down by the dividend cut, higher leverage and a Q4 guidance slightly below consensus. Skyworks names leadership team for merged company with Qorvo
Phil Brace, president and CEO of Skyworks, will become CEO of the combined company upon closing of the merger. Bob Bruggeworth of Qorvo will join the board. Other key roles include Philip Carter as CFO and Reza Kasnavi as executive VP and chief operations and technology officer; in total nine executives will report directly to Brace.
