SolarEdge and Infineon have agreed to expand their partnership to develop semiconductor protection switches (SSCB) for 800‑volt direct‑current architectures in AI hyperscale data centers. The solution combines SolarEdge’s DC power electronics with Infineon’s CoolSiC silicon‑carbide JFETs and is designed to isolate fault currents within a few microseconds without mechanical contacts, prevent arcs and protect expensive server hardware.
