Spire Global records surge in orders and satellite expansion despite revenue decline

Spire Global reported a revenue decline to $12.7 million in Q3 2025 and a premarket share plunge of over 22%, while remaining performance obligations rose to more than $200 million. The company highlighted several large contracts (including Deloitte, NOAA, EUMETSAT), the launch of 12 satellites and the delivery of a further nine satellites. Spire Global was commissioned by GIST Research to provide satellite-based soil moisture data for a study analyzing climate-driven herder movements in Ethiopia’s Somali region. The data will be integrated into the IOM’s Transhumance Tracking Tool and is intended to strengthen early warning systems and reduce conflict risks from resource competition.
