Toyo welcomes Trump's Section 232 tariffs and announces US investments
Toyo welcomes the proclamation issued by President Trump under Section 232 on polysilicon and solar imports and intends to use the resulting incentives to boost domestic production. The Japanese solar company operates a 2 GW module factory in Houston and plans a USD 357 million investment in a heterojunction cell facility on its Texas campus. TOYO has appointed Yasunari Harada as chief financial officer and director with immediate effect.
