  • Bureau Veritas in exclusive talks to sell oil, petrochemicals and coal inspection unit to Triton

Bureau Veritas is in exclusive negotiations with Triton Partners to sell its oil, petrochemicals and coal inspection unit; the transaction has an enterprise value of €470m (EV/EBIT 11.1 on expected 2025 results). The unit generated around €450m in revenue in 2025, grew more slowly than the group and diluted operating margins, so the sale is part of the LEAP|28 portfolio-rotation plan. Barclays confirmed an "Overweight" rating with a €31.00 price target, while RBC kept "Sector Perform" and a €26.00 target. The announcement, positive analyst comments and a favorable market backdrop pushed the stock about 1% to €26.30, still below the 52-week high of €29.42. » Plus sur de.investing.com

  • Bureau Veritas misses revenue forecast — shares fall in double digits

Bureau Veritas reported Q1 2026 revenue of €1.55bn, missing expectations of €1.56bn (-0.64%). Organic growth was 4.5%, driven by the Shipping & Offshore segment (+11.2%), but was heavily hit by negative currency effects of -5.2%. After the figures the share fell 11.66% to €28.61. Management expects waning currency headwinds from Q2, points to a robust order book and confirms mid‑term EPS and revenue targets, but sees risks from currency volatility, project delays and geopolitical tensions. » Plus sur de.investing.com
