AGC boosts profit significantly, shares fall after unchanged outlook

AGC beats revenue forecast for Q1 2026

AGC reported net sales of 537.97 billion yen for Q1 2026, 11.42% above the forecast and a year-on-year increase of 7.7%. Operating profit rose to 38.5 billion yen (+48.6%) and net profit to 22.8 billion yen (+246.2%), supported by currency effects, expansionary investments in Southeast Asia and lower natural gas prices.
